End-to-end conversion of Humanities BA and MA programmes from competence-based to outcome-based curricula, including PLOs, CLOs, constructive alignment, assessment redesign, staff training and accreditation documentation.
This project involved the comprehensive conversion of Humanities faculty curricula — covering English Language and Literature, Comparative Literature, Linguistics, Cultural Studies and related programmes — from a competence-based model to a fully outcome-based education (OBE) framework.
The engagement included a diagnostic review of existing curricula, stakeholder consultation with staff, students and employers, development of Programme Learning Outcomes (PLOs) and Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs), construction of outcome–teaching–assessment alignment matrices, redesign of assessment methods and rubrics, and production of complete OBE curriculum documents for both BA and MA programmes.
A three-day capacity-building workshop was delivered to academic staff, and the final documentation was prepared to meet national qualification framework and accreditation requirements. All programmes were subsequently approved by the university senate.
